Wednesday Bermies

Welcome & Disclaimer: Welcomed & disclaimed the PAX (even the past M/W AOQ Photoshop who pulled up as we were beginning…though YHC was fretting his own tardiness & possible delay via train and have been the chief sinner in terms of being to workouts on time as of late…call me the Midtown Meter Maid if you will).

The Scene: 40s, supposedly felt like 30 something…but warm enough for shorts & t-shirts for some.

Warm-o-rama:

  • Side Straddle Hops x30
  • Daisy Pickers x15
  • Imperial Walkers x15
  • Windmill x15

The Thang:

We started out with a lap around the senior center, then we did two laps including three stops each lap. Stop #1 7 reps of each:

  • Hand Release Merkins
  • Squats
  • Mountain Climbers
  • Big Boy Sit-Ups

At each successive stop, we descended our rep count, concluding at the starting concrete pad with 1 rep of each

Next portion, YHC gave less than average instructions, but PAX exceeded expectations. Simultaneously, each of the 5 PAX would be working…

  • 1 lap around Senior Center
  • Big Boy Sit-Ups with a Ruck Weight
  • Hill sprints
  • Slam Ball Throws
  • SandBag Toss

Rotation happens upon completion of the runner making lap and successive rotations as you move through the above order. We made it 1.5 laps of the senior center with the sandbag.

COT: YHC enjoyed the story part of 1917 in addition to the cinematography. It reminds me that sometimes I’m incompetent and will be stretched by a mission or goal that will be hard. Sometimes the goal will be seemingly insignificant outside of the personal mission & goal. Mudpants was helpful in making this a group discussion.

Moleskin: Photoshop tried to sabotage the rotation game as he hid behind the dumpster when I was trying to find him and get some slam ball throws in…did an extra lap around the center so not all was lost.
