CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
Romans 12:15-16 says, “Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.”
Harmony is when different voices come together to make a beautiful sound. Dissonance is different sounds coming together to make a less than beautiful sound. Harmonious voices doesn’t mean Truth doesn’t exist. Harmony isn’t all Kumbaya-fluffy-feelyness that lacks conviction. Harmony means Truth is real and people can believe the same core principle and apply it differently.
Rejoicing with those who rejoice and weeping with those who weep demonstrates empathy, which contributes to harmony. Being wise in our own eyes often leads to pride, which reduces empathy, and increases dissonance.
My encouragement is to be empathetic and compassionate with the goal of living in harmony.
MOLESKIN:
Great time at The Turd The Annex this morning. Great group. Grimace was a beast and did the first four sets of JAMS with a weighted vest, the last set without it, and smoked all of us.
