COUNT-OFF & NAME-O-RAMA:
CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
In Genesis, Joseph has a dream and shares it with his brothers. The dream is that his brothers will bow down and submit to him. The brothers are already jealous of Joseph, so they sell him to slavery. That action starts an entire process that leads to the fruition of the dream (Genesis 42 Joseph’s brothers have to submit to him and bow down to him). God has a plan that is much larger than us, and He will succeed in His efforts. Joseph’s brothers were angry about the dream, and yet they made a move (unknowingly) that helped it become a reality. There is a ton of brokenness in the relationships here, but God brings about reconciliation within the family and blessing to many through Joseph.
I am reminded that God has a huge plan and regardless of what is going on in my life, His reconciliation is going to happen. If I am seeking Him, then I get to be a part of reconciling broken relationships. Instead of thinking about how terrible things are (Jospeh was enslaved and in prison for some time), I should be reminded that God has a much larger story and His will is for redemption of the world.
Try to think bigger than what is happening in just my life.
Everything was great this morning. Snow is fun! The Old Forest was beautiful. Mumble Chatter was present and enjoyable. Prior to F3, I would never willingly have gotten out to workout in this weather. The PAX got me out there and keep me coming back.
My M said, “Why are you going. No one is going to show up.” Instead, we had 12 PAX show. I thanked the PAX for giving me an opportunity to tell my M she was wrong.
