THE SCENE:

The air was thick, dense, heavy, or whatever adjective you’d like to use to describe 100% humidity. No Cheezsteak at 0500 so 45 minutes of Daisy Pickers will have to wait for another day.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:

Today is my Dad’s 66th birthday. I am so grateful to have him as my dad, friend, mentor, etc. He has been there for me through everything. I know that even today he would drop everything to help me if I needed it. He also is still not afraid to check me if I’m not doing the right thing. That hasn’t always made sense at the time, but I’ve grown to understand the lesson behind the lesson. As the birth of my second child approaches rapidly, my hope for myself and all pax is that our kids will think of us in the same way I think of my dad. I hope to act in a way that would make my kids proud to call me dad.

Archie Manning, at the end of the the ESPN 30 for 30 Book of Manning, said that despite all of the things he had experienced with his 3 sons, the thing he hoped more than any was that they would say that he “was a good dad.” Aye, Arch.

Be safe!

MOLESKIN:

Wow. I intentionally planned this workout to be tough to provide a little Iron Pax prep, but it was tougher than I expected. Slow Play, our fit 18 year old FNG, splashed during the EMOM part of the workout. If I’m being honest, I got a little light headed around that time too. Nature Boy said that he was on the verge of splashing when Sky Q decided we should shut it down, which made me feel better about almost making myself splash. Awesome work by all of the gents this morning.
