CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
“Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.”

Stop, take a breath, think “is my response to the situation I’m in proportional to the situation”?  This is good advice in good times and stressful times.  The stressful message is obvious – don’t fly off the handle when someone cuts you off on 385 or when work gets too much or when your dog eats half of the ‘bouncing ball’ you planned to use during your VQ.  Sometimes, though, we don’t stop and think about our responses to the good times.  When your 2.0 excitedly runs up to you when you walk in the door to tell you that they finally won a Fortnight battle and you just give a half-assed ‘good for you’, you just missed an opportunity to build up a young person.  That missed opportunity may not come back to you and what a shame that would be.
