For those that have scene Ricky Bobby’s prayer scene in the movie Talledega Nights, this required no explanation. One PAX had not scene so YHC described the scene as Ricky (Will Farrell) prays to “Little Baby Jesus” and “Sweet Jesus in a manger.” Ricky’s Father-In-Law, Chip, advises that Jesus wasn’t just a baby…he was a grown man. This does not deter Ricky from going right back and praying to “6lb 4oz precious baby Jesus.”
Shared Philippians 2:8 (NIV) And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!
During the Christmas season, we often talk about the birth of Jesus as the most spectacular event in history. Although, the scandalous birth was direly important, it is even more important that we remember that Jesus became a man. A man that lived a perfect life, a man that healed the sick, raised the dead, and walked on Water. He became a man that was beaten and was put up on a cross to bleed and die for us. He became a man that rose from and defeated sin and death.
As we go about this Christmas month…let’s celebrate in the birth of Jesus…but place special emphasis on the death, burial and resurrection of our Savior.
MOLESKIN:
We zoomed through the deck of cards in 26:01 by keeping a great pace. The Jokers provided many grunts and groans, including YHC, especially during the blockees. Need more workouts with tunes….The playlist included selections by Zac Brown, TobyMac, Imagine Dragons, Lacrae, Survivor, Newsboys, 21 Pilots, Billy Currington, AC/DC and Genesis.
