CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
Step 1 – We admitted that we were powerless over ____ and that our lives had become unmanageable. We are powerless over fire hydrants, firehoses, addictions, sin, what other people think, etc. We must first admit the problem before moving into the solution. We need to admit that we don’t have all the answers, we don’t have it all together, we don’t have all the resources at our disposal to overcome the problems we’re faced with. Death comes before the resurrection. We cannot do this alone, but together we get better. By acknowledging the problem we prepare to ask for help from others and God. The good news of the gospel is that we have to go down before we come up. We are not God and if we exalt ourselves we shall be humbled, yet when we humble ourselves we shall be exalted.
