1ST F – Fitness

Fridays Barracks track workout will be from Bryant’s Breakfast on Summer. Flag will be posted in front of Nagasaki Restaurant on summer (map) we will run a greenline loop.  Then support a locally owned restaurant for PLC/buy your own breakfast.  Bring cash (They are CASH ONLY) and a chair and we will gather in the parking lot for breakfast.

Mark your calendars for Saturday August 21st. F3 Memphis will be celebrating its 4th Birthday! We will close all AO’s and converge on where it all started, Mothership. Workout will start at 6:00 AM and we will have a potluck style PLC at 7:00 AM. We had 117 HIMs show up the last time we did this in 2019. Let’s break those numbers. SYITG!

The August Challenge will be a different format this month. The challenge it to complete the entire list of items below:
1. Complete the Murph Hero WOD
2. Run a 5k 
3. Do a 10 mile ruck
4. Perform 50 burpees straight
5. Perform an old Iron Pax Challenge workout
Tomb Raider says that if 50 PAX complete it, he will crab walk a mile, however long it takes.  If more than 50 PAX complete it, then he’ll do it wearing a ruck on his chest. Keep pushing the boundaries of your perceived fitness limitations. This is acceleration, this is growth.

IronPax Challenge is back next month!! We had a bunch of guys complete at least 1 of the workouts last year, but fell short of our goal for guys completing all 4 weeks.
Looking to grow our participation numbers this year, and we have ample opportunities for each of you to participate!
For those of you not familiar, head over to the #iron-pax-challenge channel, and there will be more information in the coming weeks. But for now, here is what we do have.

Why: To push ourselves to get better togetherWe have EIGHT different AOs, spread out over 6 days of the week, that have stepped up to host an IPC day!
So the excuse that there wasn’t an opportunity to do the workout close to home, or there wasn’t one on a day that worked for you ain’t gonna fly this year.

You have until the end of 2021 to complete this challenge. Congrats to Finch for completing his AO Passport this past week! Congrats to Rabbit for earning both his AO and Q Passports this past week!

3RD F Service Opportunity this weekend!
@Four Eyes and Alcy Ball are recruiting volunteers for 8/13 and 8/14 at the MAM center on 2107 Ball Rd (MAM basketball gym). They are hosting a Homebuyer Training Program and need a few people who can set up tables, greet, serve, and help with clean up. Checkout the sign up genius link for available times.
