1ST F – Fitness

This coming Saturday August 21st, F3 Memphis will be celebrating its 4th Birthday! We will close all AO’s and converge on where it all started, Mothership. Workout will start at 6:00 AM and we will have a potluck style PLC at 7:00 AM. We had 117 HIMs show up the last time we did this in 2019. Let’s break those numbers. SYITG!

2019 2nd Anniversary Convergence

The August Challenge will be a different format this month. The challenge it to complete the entire list of items below:
1. Complete the Murph Hero WOD
2. Run a 5k
3. Do a 10 mile ruck
4. Perform 50 burpees straight
5. Perform an old Iron Pax Challenge workout
Tomb Raider says that if 50 PAX complete it, he will crab walk a mile, however long it takes.  If more than 50 PAX complete it, then he’ll do it wearing a ruck on his chest. Keep pushing the boundaries of your perceived fitness limitations. This is acceleration, this is growth.

Are you a “wait to the last minute” kind of person? Do you tend to put things off until they are due the next day? Then we have a CSAUP (Completely Stupid And Utterly Pointless) event for you! We are calling it the Procrastinator. What is it? It is basically the entire August monthly challenge rolled into one event, on the last Saturday of the month, 8/28! If you are interested, let Grimace know!

2ND F – Fellowship

Get to Know Your AOQs:

Birth Name:John David Poissant Jr.
Age:45 Years Young
F3 Name:Croissant
What’s the story behind your F3 name?My last name is French. Croissant are soft and flaky. I am not.
What’s the best piece of advice someone has given you?Be obedient to your Heavenly Father. Know Him, love Him and trust Him.
If you were an action figure, what accessories would you be sold with?I am in the Military, so GI Joe 🙂
What is something that you’re really good at, that is embarrasing? Nothing. I am proud of all the skills that I have.
What is one thing you’ve done that you will never do again?A long time ago, I have had some long nights of “partying” that left me feeling pretty crappy the next day. I will never be doing that again.
How many languages do you speak? One, but I do know a few bits and pieces of French and Spanish that I picked up when I lived in Southwest Florida.
What was your first job?Cutting grass in the neighborhood for 10 bucks a pop, but my first hourly paid job was given to me by Scott Lebeau just two days before I turned 15. It was at the Publix Supermarket on Del Prado Blvd in Cape Coral Florida. I worked there for two years. Bagged groceries, and stocked shelves when they would let me.
What is the strongest animal you could win against?Depends if I had any weapons, but I feel like I could scare off a bear if I had a staff. And I could choke a pit bull to death if attacked me head on. I have killed a 5′ iguana with a compound bow, and I have decapitated a possum with a shovel. I had no remorse in both situations….actually glad I get a chance to speak on it now.
What would be the worst thing to put into a piñata?Candy. Or a glass bottle of tequila (the good stuff).
What are you most thankful for?My family. Joelle (she’s smart, a great mom and smoking hot), and my two sons John Robert, and Jameson. Both have big personalities and I consider them handsome and powerful men.

The Catalog has it’s AO shirt available for pre order right now! You have until August 27th to secure your order before it is gone. Click HERE to see the options!
