Pecker Plate Parade

THE SCENE:  very nice.  Millington mosquitoes don’t mind the rain though.

bridges x 25
supermans x 20

Quick mosey to playground:
started a roatation: one PAX did 6 pull-ups on monkey bars, one assisted pull-ups as needed, one did squats.
continued until each PAX did 5 sets of pull-ups.

Using 30 lbs. plates as weight:

front raises x 10
overhead press x 20

repeat for 5 rounds

Started another rotation:
One PAX did a farmer carry with 2 plates down the path by the building, then left on the path to the third tree on the right, then returned. Next PAX waited in wall sit, the other waited hanging on the monkey bars.
Repeated two rounds.

Last we did a overhead plate carry. Each PAX carried a plate overhead with arms fully extended. When one PAX lowered their plate they had to count the next number. All PAX stopped walking until all plates were raised again. We walked around the path past the building, left past the gazebo, past the tennis courts to the bridge, then back. We reached the count of 14.
Did 14 8-count body builders IC.

Had time for 25 flutterkicks before time ended.

I’m starting a new position a work this morning in a different department. I’ve been thinking about the opportunity to start fresh with a new group of people. What kind of impression to I want to make, what do I want my reputation to be, what stupid stuff will I be known for now, etc.
I couldn’t help but think about how we do that every morning in God’s eyes. We get to wake up forgiven and perfect despite whatever we did the previous day and all the other ones before.

Lamentations 3:22-23
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.

So far I’ve spent the first morning setting up my computer, drinking coffee, and writing a back blast.
