Levee – Murdering Bunnies on Route 66

 

THE SCENE:

50 Degrees and clear.

 

F3 WELCOME & DISCLAIMER:

Done.  No FNGs.  Disclaimed that today’s workout would be stupid so please forgive me.

 

WARM-O-RAMA:

Motivators – down from 6

Daisy Pickers IC x 12

Imperial Walkers IC x 12

Arm Circles IC x 10 frontwards and backwards

Michael Phelps IC x 12

 

THA-THANG:

Each PAX picked up their CMU and rifle carried it to East entrance of the parking lot.  Stopped and did 25 curls OYO.  Rifle carried CMU to skate park parking lot, did 25 curls OYO.  Did 1 minute of high plank (20 seconds right hand down, 20 seconds left hand down, 20 seconds both hands down).  Left CMUs here for later.

Moseyed down main road down to Wolf River Blvd and back.  Stopped 2 times along the way to do 25 H/R merkins.

Route 66 – Started on East End of Route 66.  1 Hurpee (H/R Burpee) – Murder Bunny to next lightpole.  Travelled 10 lightpoles until we did 11 Hurpees.  We all stopped after 6 Hurpees to wait for the 6 and take a 20 second breather (it was needed).

Sprints – Left CMU’s at start of Route 66.  Sprinted 4 lightpoles back towards Startes.  Sprinted back to CMUs.  Sprinted 2 lightpoles towards park restrooms.  Sprinted back to CMUs.  Picked up CMUs and each PAX walked back to Startex carrying their CMU in whatever way they wanted

 

MARY:

No time – got back to Startex right at 6:15.

Shared something I saw on LinkdIn.  “Six Things Mentally Strong People Do”.

  1. They move on. They don’t waste time feeling sorry for themselves.

  6. They celebrate other people’s success. They don’t resent that success.

I do some of these often and well and others not so much…..feel if we did these 6 things regularly, we would no doubt be the men we strive to be.

MOLESKIN:

Wanted to Q a workout that would be very difficult today.  I thought that we would have time for 2 different rounds of Route 66…..Hurpee/Murder Bunny Route 66 proved to be no joke and took a little longer than I expected.  Mission accomplished on the hard workout.  Always “love” ending a Q with sprints.  I’m not sure 10 words were spoken on Route 66 today….

Harvard and Floater set the pace for the PAX during Route 66 and sprints…..dem boys is bad.  Nature Boy’s form was not hurt during his temporary F3 break….one of these days I will follow his lead and try to do everything with perfect form…just not today.  Dial Up gets mad respect – regularly shows, works hard and brings a positive attitude every day.

This was a great group of guys today…IMO, 5-10 PAX is a perfect number of PAX for a workout.  These 7 dudes did not complain once, just got the work in.
