Humping Monkeys in Memory of CrossFit Chickasaw

WARM-O-RAMA:
SSH, tempo squats, tempo merkins, lil’ mosey

THA-THANG:
At the playground, partner up. P1 does 5 or 10 pull-ups while P2 flutter kicks. Switch it up until each partner has done 25 pull-ups. Plank for the six.

Mosey to the Benjamin Hooks Central Library. 11s with jumping lunges and derkins (feet up on large granite cylinders lying near the entrance). No one appreciated this!

Mosey to what once was CrossFit Chickasaw. YHC had decided last night to pay homage to all of the money spent there by humping monkeys out front. On the way there, Jail Bait suggested we do just that! Great minds…

15 monkey humpers in cadence TWICE

Mosey back to the library parking lot to a COUS (Curb of Unusual Size). Wheel of Merkin: incline merkins, rotate 90 degrees for offset, rotate for derkins, rotate for offset (clockwise…like a wheel…of merkins). We did 10 reps, then 7, then 4.

Mosey back to the playground for another round of partner pull-ups.

Short mosey to the track for a partial squat mile. We got two laps in. For the sake of time, YHC called the remaining 50 squats in cadence with no running. Mosey back to the lot, stopping for some calf raises on the stairs, then a 30 second plank. THE END.

COUNT-OFF & NAME-O-RAMA:
8 PAX, no effin G’s. No Nifty Shrimp. Where’s he been?

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
I’m reading in Judges currently. It’s struck me how it says God’s people forgot his mighty works and then rebelled. Whatever your faith system is, you’ve got to remember (and remind yourself) why it is you follow it. Don’t neglect your faith! We also have an obligation to pass it on so the next generation doesn’t forget.

MOLESKIN:
YHC went with a mental weinke and was very tired. Somehow, it wasn’t a disaster. Great fellowship afterwards talking about job evaluations, health, and life’s other trials.
