CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
In 2020, men have let society’s twisted definitions contort how we relate to one another. One way this manifests itself is sad clown syndrome – we isolate from society and specifically other men. Another way this manifests itself is lack of physical touch for other men. (Insert middle school giggles here) Seriously though – men often don’t hug or show any physical affection for brothers that they love deeply simply because society has warped our perspective. Hug it out with your bros. Be that somebody who embraces another man affectionately.
My brothers at the saddles embraced the suck and pumped sunshine gloriously despite the conditions. Leaders are made, not born. This workout was a gift. Cards were dealt. Each man must decide for himself how he will play the cards.
You got to know when to hold ’em,
Know when to fold ’em,
Know when to walk away,
And know when to run.
You never count your money
When you’re sittin’ at the table.
There’ll be time enough for countin’
When the dealing’s done.
Every gambler knows
That the secret to survivin’
Is knowin’ what to throw away
And knowin’ what to keep.
‘Cause every hand’s a winner,
And every hand’s a loser,
And the best that you can hope for
Is to die in your sleep.
Come help us put the blazing in blazing saddles. Wednesdays in January. We’ll meet at typical startex and warm-up mosey to the track for a variety of speed workouts.
