Wet, Cold, Icy. It wasn’t as bad as anticipated but I guess that happens when you anticipate a pouring ice storm when you wake up. Showed up early to put some cards out in the horse stalls and saw 4 pre-ruckers. Shortly after 2 pre runners showed up right before we started.
F3 WELCOME & DISCLAIMER
Done – definitely not a professional for my VQ and not sure anyone should pay to workout in 30 and ice.
Quickly done before we moved along.
SSH X 20
Daisy Pickers X 10
Arm Circles X 10 each way.
Started off moseying into the stalls for some Tabata time. 45 seconds on 15 seconds for 2 full circuits of each of the following. Everyone got to enjoy the Vocal Abilities of Cheesesteak and Hobby Lobby.
Next we moseyed down to Poplar Pike (and realized I need to work on clarification on my next Q as saying mosey to the street meant like 10 things). On the way to the light pole I was made aware that people may have only heard the radio edit of “In da Club” by 50 cent. Nothing like the NSFW version of a song running next to a pastor!
Continued w/ the high school theme and since I played basketball, who doesn’t love a good suicide. This time it was Light pole Suicides.
Start at first light pole, run out to 1st light pole for 20 Bonnie Blairs and return to start for 5 burpees. Continue on to 2nd light pole, rinse and repeat until the end. About half completed the full length of light poles until it was time to head to startex for 1 minute of MARY.
Playlist – Went with only songs that came out from 95-01 which allowed me to choose a few absurd songs that came out during that time that I can’t believe I listened to.
Semi Charmed Life – Third Eye Blind
Higher – Creed
The Crossroads – Bone Thugs
Bawitdaba – Kid Rock
Comedown – Bush
My Hero – Foo Fighters
In Da Club (EXPLICIT VERSION) – 50 Cent
Wonderful – Everclear
Ms. Jackson – Outkast
Shimmer – Fuel
1979 – Smashing Pumpkins
Limited Time – 1 Minute of High Plank, raise right hand, left hand, right foot, left foot and done.
COUNT-OFF & NAME-O-RAMA:
15 PAX Showed up and very thankful for all to show up in miserable weather for my VQ. Cheezsteak, Hoya, Hobby Lobby, Landline, Speaker, Spirit Stick, Ryan Howard, Matlock, Hobo, Dawson, Finkle, Lochte, Carver, Wheezer
CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
I am more of a lead by example type of person. This was definitely out of my comfort zone, but being able to do it in front of a group that you trust is important to just help you feel more comfortable and to just break out of your comfort zone. Challenged everyone to try to do something that is a little out of your comfort zone. There is nothing wrong with failure. Learn from it and move forward.
Prayer Request for Money Ball’s father and Cantore’s daughter.
I am a big planner, like to have everything scheduled out. The ice thru me for a loop to try to avoid my initial workout that included grass, laying down, etc. The Kimbro Wives may have a revolt on their hands had a few Kimbroz came home with pneumonia. I had the lightpole suicides planned for the initial workout but with the ground not too icy, I decided to go that route after Tabata with apologies to Spirit Stick.
