CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
Do Hard Things. For when I am Weak, I am strong.
2019 was a difficult year personally. 2020 is also a way to describe clear vision and we often say “Hindsight is 20/20” Losing my father in October hurt and still hurts. Pain is real. In 2019, on Christmas, I sought to numb my pain with alcohol versus lean into God. In turn, I missed opportunity to grow in my relationship with God and my family. I’m not proud of it but I am also granting myself some grace.
I saw on Slack someone post “Do Hard Things” and I wanted to take it to heart. That’s why we chose to do exercises we don’t like this morning. Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians that when he was weak, he was strong. Admitting weakness causes a man to look outside of himself. I want to look up in 2020, for I know where my strength comes from.
Prayer requests for Paper Trail’s niece in her upcoming marriage and for QIC.
Thank you to the PAX who walked beside me this morning.
