We talk a lot about the benefits of doing Completely Stupid And Utterly Pointless (CSAUP) activities–how doing dumb, dirty, and dangerous stuff together forges bonds of brotherhood and personal mettle. However, according to my M, it seems to be having the opposite effect in my life. It is almost like I am spending all of my CSAUP energy in the gloom and GoRuck events and don’t have anything left for actual improvement in my marriage, parenting, and career. I’m not quite sure how to course-correct here, but I wanted to encourage the PAX to reflect on the outcomes of taking the Daily Red Pill. There’s no sense in talking about “getting better” if we aren’t actually improving in the areas that truly matter.
MOLESKIN:
Lots of curve balls this morning:
Some I could get ahead of (I had no idea where the picnic table were actually located, so I arrived early for recon)
Some I did not get ahead of (the unexpected 20 count rest during the bodybuilders that I passively allowed, not giving direction on where to leave the 45# plates)
Some I just could not get ahead of no matter what I did (the counting cacophony during planks).
Learn from mistakes. Get better.
Kotters to Sprinkles!
Exciting to post at the KotB. We’d love some Qs and PAX to visit the Morg.
