Change of Plans to Running at the Morg

THE SCENE:
It was hot and humid. We left sweat stains everywhere. As I was planting the flag, Orange Julius ran up from his 1 mile pre-run.

THA-THANG:

I had planned something totally different… but OJ told me of his plans to work on his miles and speed, so I changed tha-thang to a different thang and stole Choker’s workout from 7/27/2020. Here it is, literally copy and pasted:

1 mile mosey north on Stage Road to notasport complex

11’s on the ginormous, impossibly steep hill.  Burpees at the bottom, BBSU at the top

1 mile mosey back to Shovel Flag

Aside – at this point, we saw that Sleep Number and Bootheel were waiting for us. They did not participate in the immense joy of running 2.5+ miles with burpees, but I can only presume that they did their own workout consisting of roughly the same thing while we were away.

It’s been a rough few weeks and months right? I’ve often found myself wishing to push the fast forward button on this year and just skip ahead… but then there are so many positive things I would have missed out on. I have heard lots of people say there have been some really good things that have come out of everything that’s going on… for me, I’ve spent a lot more time with my kids. Of course bad things are happening, too, and I don’t want to minimize that. But think about the positive. You probably know this verse, but Philippians 4:8 says, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

MOLESKIN:

We had some discussions about what to do (if anything) regarding our Friday workouts – numbers have been lower, so we’ve talked about either dropping Friday or moving it to Thursday so that we can participate at Neverland. We’ve also talked about turning Friday into a pure ruck workout. No decision has been made, but if you have any preference, show up to a workout and let us know. If you have no preference, show up to a workout anyway.
