- CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
- Anything worth doing will usually require more than your individual effort.
- Willingly subjecting yourself to difficult Completely Stupid And Utterly Pointless (CSAUP) activities like this one makes you stronger, more resilient, more unstoppable.
- CSAUP activities condition us to put mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.
- Call for support when you need it; don’t be too proud or wait too long to call for support.
- Prayers offered up for:
- Phat Pat’s Dad to come to know the Lord.
- Soybean’s mother.
- Dirty Deeds.
- PAX to become stronger and more resilient.
- MOLESKIN:
- Welcome Handy Manny!
- Kotters to Leonardo!
- We started off with 3 tables. Even though Phat Pat was the first to say we should grab a 4th, it was my idea to add it 😉
- PAX had the brilliant idea to flip the tables to make them easier to carry.
- While we sent 4 men off to pick up the 4th table, the remaining PAX were punished with an extended set of Derkins.
- Pain retains learning. I will not forget these lessons:
- When leading a large group like this, it is a good idea for the Q to remain out front to give leadership and direction. This might be obvious to others, but this was learned the hard way.
- The last Indian Run fell apart badly and it was my fault. I should not have:
- called for the last set of squats (which put us in a time crunch)
- run ahead for my phone for the COT (which was unnecessary)
- attempted to beat Phat Pat at a footrace, which he swiftly won
- gone over time (which is a big no no).
- The order of closing out a workout: count-o-rama, name-o-rama, FNG naming, and COT.
- I had more festivities planned for a second lap. Those have been locked and loaded for a future bootcamp. Though probably not my next Q.
