Thanks for being here today, men. We all have busy lives but are choosing to make ourselves better and grow in brotherly community. I want to talk about the Biblical man David. He started as a shepherd boy but God had other big plans for him. God led him and he found his grounding in God. He went on to defeat the giant Goliath. He ran for his life from Saul. He would rule a kingdom. He messed up with Bathsheba. He was human. The Christian Savior would come from the line of David. We can see his communion relationship with his Lord in the beautiful book of “Psalms” that he is largely attributed with. Such Psalms as “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want” and “God is our refuge and strength” come to mind,

My message for you is to, like David, although we will mess up, find your grounding in God and keep in a daily communion with him. Whatever you do, do it to your best, and for God’s glory.
