Brick Laying Dora


  • Wonderful…  A cool, dry 65 degrees.

Grab a pair of 5lb bricks and mosey to the grass area beside the parking lot… bricks were in-hand for each exercise during Dora.


Modified Dora:

  • Partner up…P1 reps while P2 Bear Crawls w/bricks in hand about ~15-20 yds and back
  • 100 Merkins (get chest low between the bricks)
  • 200 Butterflies
  • 300 Squats
  • 200 OH Presses
  • 100 Merkins (get chest low between the bricks)
  • Rinse & Repeat 5 reps of each UAI:
    • Burpees
    • Merkins
    • Squats

  • Message:  Evaluate your expectations of others to ensure they are realistic and fair.  Not everyone is created equal in all areas, so be prepared to carry the weight of responsibility where and when your capable and need too, and avoid holding resentment, anger and irritability toward others.  Lead by example, and others may see and follow.  Don’t get caught up in a “it’s a 50/50 split of duties or else I have a right to be mad”.  This can be applied to your marriage, friendships, co-workers and family.

Mole Skin:

  • The modified Dora took longer than expected, so we did not get to anything else, but it was a good workout.  I had a few other things planned had we finished sooner.


  • Shirts arrived 🍌
  • For those counting their OH Presses, we used 5lb bricks and we did 200 OH Presses with them so 10lbs over head and figure that into however many reps you did of the 200 reps split between your partner.  This is only if OH Presses with bricks count toward the challenge, which I refer you to Hobo or Lochte for determination.
