CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
Humility is necessary for us to learn. Paul tells the church in Philippi: Do nothing out of selfish ambition of vain conceit but in humility, count others more significant than yourselves. Vain conceit is literally ’empty glory’. God’s glory is weighty, significant. Often we seek our significance in things that are meaningless: our reputation, our job, our abilities. In doing so we fill with pride. Humility is the understanding that at once we are deeply flawed and broken but greatly loved by God. Considering God’s glory moves us to healthy humility.
MOLESKIN:
It was noted by YHC that this was probably the best ever CoT on humility. 😉
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Prayers were offered for a young couple, a tragic senseless murder, a big job interview, and something else that God remembers but YHC has forgotten.
