8-track Snomaggedon BLOPS

The Scene:
11 degrees. Snow covered the ground. Sleet coming in sideways. What were we thinking?

Warm o rama:
25 side straddle hops IC
10 Imperial walkers IC
10 Hillbillies IC
10 Daisy Pickers IC
Tha Thang:
Modified Seabiscuit workout.
10 Burpees
20 Merkins
30 Squats
Hold plank til all in
Run 1 lap around building (0.27 miles)
Repeat above exercises adding 1 additional lap each time.
Made it up to 4 laps, then went back down to complete 3 laps when we ran out of time. Total of 50 burpees, 100 Merkins, 150 Squats, 3.51 miles run.

In honor of Presidents’ Day, I read one of my favorite quotes from Abraham Lincoln which speaks to Leadership:
“I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live by the light that I have. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.”
I grossly underestimated how much harder working out in these conditions would be. Being bundled up in many layers really restricted my range of motion and made catching my breath that much harder. But it also made the push that much harder and led to a greater sense of accomplishment.
