CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
Veteran’s Day is next week. That inspired the choice of this Hero wod selection.
“I don’t always choose the path I walk in life, but I always choose the manor in which I walk it” This quote popped into my head earlier in the week and it kept coming back up each time a thought of what COT message to share. I gave a brief story of John O’Leary. (Thanks Halpert and Hobo for filling in his name, it escaped my memory this morning). John as a child was playing with a gas tank and lighting small fires. One day after his parents left he played with the gas tank in his garage and he accidentally lit himself on fire (90+% burned). Luckily his sister was home and able to help protect his face and get him put out. He had a hard road for recovery and is now living a full life as a motivational speaker. The fact that he can endure that tragedy and have a positive attitude is very inspiring to me. His first book is where this info was found” On Fire”
MOLESKIN:
Price Ali kept watch of the clock for us -LOL.
We didn’t have any finishers this morning, most of us were on the final set of burpees when time ran out. Landline was the furthest along. I knew it would be a close, if we’d have skipped the warm-up mosey lap and not broken up the 1st set of burpees we would have mostly finished i think. No ragrets on that though, it was good to keep the crew together for the first set, otherwise we would have been real spread out, especially with Hobo doing a harder mod, the: Triple HR Burpee.
Running after each set of leg exercises was a weird feeling…
