2020 yards & 20×20 reps for 2020

THE SCENE:
Quite cold. The beautiful turf fields were just begging for somebody to come run up and down…repeatedly.

Given. Warned we would be doing LOTS of sprints, so please take the appropriate time to properly stretch your legs.

THA THANG:

101 yard sprint. 20 merkins.

101 yard sprint. 20 squats.

101 yard sprint. 20 LBCs.

After the first few sprints, the PAX figured out that the theme for this 2020 NYE workout was “20.” After the 4th sprint, Steinbrenner said, “If we’re doing 20, and I think we are, we still have to do that FOUR more times!”

Rinse and repeat  x6

After the 18th round, I gave Hello Kitty the chance, as AOQ, to decide what we would do next. We could keep doing the merkin/squat/LBC rotation of exercise, but would add 4 extra sprints, for a total of 24. OR, we could substitute 20 burpees for the exercise for the last two sprints, and finish at 20. After some back and forth, the group opted for burpees.
